WooCommerce is a free ecommerce platform for WordPress that enables entrepreneurs to easily create and run their own online stores. WooCommerce is the world’s most popular ecommerce platform.
FooSales is designed and built to work natively with WooCommerce. It functions as a point of sale layer for your WooCommerce store, making it possible to process orders in real time while maintaining a centralized architecture. When you process an order via FooSales, it connects to your store using the official WooCommerce API (web app) or XML-RPC (tablet apps). Your order data is then sent directly to your WooCommerce store in real time.
By connecting directly to your WooCommerce database, there is no need for any third-party bridging software or middleware which can cause syncing problems and often adds extra cost and complexity. At no time does FooSales store your WooCommerce data on any third-party servers, including our own. All data remains on your own server/s, thereby maintaining privacy and security.
Please note: Currently only the FooSales Web version connects to stores using the WooCommerce API. The iOS and Android apps use XML-RPC to communicate with WooCommerce sites. While this works well in most cases, it can in some instances be affected by restrictions on certain hosting platforms and security plugins. As such we will be replacing the current use of XML-RPC by the iOS and Android apps with the WooCommerce API in future. If you experience difficulties connecting the apps to your store due to XML-RPC issues, please see here.
WooCommerce supports 100+ payment gateways and handles all the heavy lifting on your site so that your customers can make secure payments and you get paid effortlessly without having to worry about the technical wizardry.
WooCommerce is built for WordPress, the publishing platform that runs over 26% of all websites on the internet. It is regularly audited by Sucuri, an industry leader in online security so you’re in safe hands!
From physical products and downloads to subscriptions, content and even bookings; you can sell practically anything with WooCommerce.
WooCommerce users and developers can be found in every corner of the globe – from Canada to South Africa and Italy to Japan.
WooCommerce is designed to be modular, so you can just add the features and options you need. It’s also compatible with the majority of WordPress plugins, so it will happily coexist with all your favourite plugins and extensions.
